Can you be gluten intolerant even if you do not have celiac?

I have had digestive problems for the last 7 years ( I’m 27) and then I was diagnosed with H-pylori. I was treated, but 5 months on, I cannot eat any wheat products, milk products most fruits and veggies. All I can eat is fish, steamed vegs, and meat and potatoes. Will I be like this for the rest of my life?. I’m tired of tests being done, but jesus why can’t I have a meal like everyone else?. I had a barium 4 months ago that came back good, so what is going on?. I’m getting depressed that eating in general is such a painful experience. Should I not eat any wheat and dairy not even to cheat, and my stomach may repair itself over time?.
Any advice would be great..

  1. You can be gluten intolerant and not have full blown Celiac. However Celiac is VERY common. Have u ever been tested for Celiac? If u have Celiac u should NEVER cheat and eat gluten. Dairy is usually tolerated by many celiacs, although they may avoid it at first until their bodies have healed from the damage done by gluten. U have to continue the gluten free diet for life, but in time, many Celiacs can eat dairy just fine.
I suggest you actually be tested for Celiac. But gluten intolerance is possible and does happen.
